TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the KAFA x Café Younes Coffee Cup Design Competition (the “Competition”), organized by KAFA, in collaboration with Café Younes and Terre des Hommes Italy in Lebanon (“Organizers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting an entry, you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with these Terms.

2. ELIGIBILITY

  • The competition is open to all individuals who meet the specified criteria outlined by KAFA.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older and reside in Lebanon.
  • Employees of KAFA, Café Younes, Terre des Hommes Italy in Lebanon, or their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
  • Each participant may submit only one (1) design.

3. COMPETITION GUIDELINES

3.1 Submission Requirements

  • Submissions must be original artwork created solely by the participant.
  • Designs can be hand-drawn or digitally created using illustration software.
  • The artwork must be submitted in PDF, PNG, or JPEG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
  • The design must follow the branding guidelines provided by the Organizers.
  • The submission form must be completed in full before the deadline.

3.2 Theme & Content Restrictions

  • The design must reflect the advocacy for the Unified Personal Status Law.
  • Submissions must not contain any offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content, as determined by KAFA.
  • The artwork must not infringe upon any third-party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property.

4. OWNERSHIP & USAGE RIGHTS

  • By participating, entrants transfer all ownership and usage rights of their submitted artwork to KAFA.
  • KAFA reserves the exclusive right to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute the drawings in any form and for any purpose deemed appropriate.
  • Participants waive any claim to payment, royalties, or compensation for the use of their artwork.

5. SELECTION PROCESS & JUDGING CRITERIA

  • A jury panel from KAFA, Café Younes, TDH, and She Leads will shortlist finalists based on: Creativity, Originality, Relevance to the theme and Alignment with branding guidelines
  • The public will vote for the final winning design.
  • The judges' decisions are final and cannot be contested.

6. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & PRIZES

  • The winner will be announced on KAFA and Café Younes’ social media platforms.
  • The winning design may be featured on Café Younes’ coffee cups and advocacy materials.

7. DISQUALIFICATION

  • Entries that do not comply with these Terms may be disqualified at the sole discretion of KAFA.
  • Any attempt to manipulate votes or engage in fraudulent activity will result in immediate disqualification.

8. AMENDMENTS

  • KAFA reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, and participants will be notified of any significant changes.

9. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

  • Personal data (name, email, and submitted artwork) will be collected solely for competition purposes and will not be shared with third parties outside the Organizers.

10. LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS

  • The Organizers are not responsible for lost, incomplete, or corrupted submissions due to technical issues.
  • The Competition may be modified, suspended, or canceled if unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • The jury panel's decisions are final, and no appeals will be considered.

11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By submitting an entry, participants confirm that they:

  • Have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
  • Confirm that their submission is original and does not violate any third-party rights.
  • Grant the Organizers permission to use their design for promotional and advocacy purposes.
